CONVEYANCER
Shima is a licensed conveyancer based at our Leatherhead office. She specialises in residential conveyancing, handling both freehold and leasehold transactions including sales, purchases, transfers of ownership, and new build properties. Shima prepares sale contract packs, purchase contract and title reports, conducts solicitor and client due diligence, liaises with clients, solicitors, estate agents and third parties, and drafts financial statements. She is committed to providing regular updates and ensuring smooth pre- and post-completion processes.
Shima joined Julie West Solicitors with a strong background in residential property law and a broad range of legal experience including family law, immigration, litigation, housing, and wills and probate. She has worked in both private practice and in-house legal teams, and brings a meticulous, client-focused approach to her work.
Shima’s aim is to make the conveyancing process as quick, efficient, and hassle-free as possible for both her clients and fellow professionals.
She prides herself on being easily contactable and readily available to answer any questions her clients or others may have during the course of the transaction.
Areas of Practice
Training
Shima has an educational background in law. She completed her LPC at BPP University, London, with core modules in Business Law, Litigation, and Property Law, and elective modules in Advanced Property Law, Employment Law, and Immigration. Shima completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law, London, and also holds an LLM in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen, an LLM in European and International Commercial Law from Brunel University, London, and a BA in General Law from Azad University in Tehran, Iran.
Shima was awarded a licence from the Council for Licensed Conveyancers in March 2024 to become a registered Licensed Conveyancer.
Outside the office
Shima enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests. She is an avid tennis player and swimmer, and she loves reading, cooking, and baking. Shima is also passionate about delivering educational presentations on legal issues at youth clubs and schools, contributing to her community through pro bono activities.
