Julie West founded Julie West Solicitors in 2004. Julie set up the business to use the expertise she built working in the City and consulting at over twenty firms across Surrey.
Julie’s daughter Emma Westsmith joined the firm part-time while studying in 2007. Emma started managing the firm in 2013 and trained and qualified as a solicitor in 2017.
In 2022 Julie and Emma became joint owners and directors of Julie West Solicitors. We are proud to be one of the 20% of UK businesses owned or managed by women.

where we are
Growth of the firm has been organic, largely through word of mouth recommendations from clients. Starting in an office in Julie’s home, we moved out to modern dedicated offices at the Axis Centre business park in 2015. In June 2020, we moved to a modern dedicated office at iconic Leatherhead landmark Thorncroft Manor (The Courtyard, Thorncroft Manor, Thorncroft Drive, Leatherhead, KT22 8JB).
We are accessible on foot, by train or car. You can walk to Leatherhead station in under 15 minutes. There is free parking outside the door. We have a choice of client meeting areas, historic and memorable and modern with level access.
The move to Thorncroft Manor brings us closer to town as well as open countryside. Our team are more easily able to get out of the office for a break at lunchtime. Whether to wander through the 15 acres of grounds around the Manor, grab a sandwich in town, go for a swim at the leisure centre or even a walk around Norbury Park.
