In September 2025 we wished our colleague Len Boreland a very happy retirement, drawing to a close a long career and tenure with our firm.

As a solicitor who combined steady judgement with genuine care for clients, Len’s work has touched almost every corner of our practice. From residential and commercial property matters - sales and purchases, lease renewals and extensions, to refinancing projects and sensitive corporate instructions, his fingerprints can be found on countless successful outcomes for the people and businesses we serve.
A reputation built on trust
Even as Len began winding down for retirement, former clients continued to seek him out and new clients arrived by recommendation - proof (if any were needed) of the trust he earned over years of diligent work and plainly spoken advice.
Quiet professionalism, day in and day out
Those of us who worked closely with Len will remember his calm style and the way he navigated thorny drafting points and last‑minute hurdles without fuss. He brought the same standards to everything - from complex commercial documents to the practicalities that keep files moving. (If you ever received an email from Len with a deceptively short “Kind regards” at the end, you knew the substance above it would be rock‑solid.)
A thoughtful handover
True to form, Len invested care in leaving things right. Ahead of his final week, he came in after hours to leave detailed notes on live files and worked with colleagues so every client had a clear next point of contact. That preparation made a real difference - and meant clients experienced continuity from day one.
